We are Brenger; a clean-tech startup building a sustainable transportation platform that solves the inefficient way of transporting bulky goods by optimizing the utilization of every van on the road which reduces the CO2 emission along the way. We started our adventure back in 2016 in Amsterdam and we are about to scale our services throughout Europe! To start our expansion in Germany we are looking for a strategic and sales driven Market Launcher to accelerate our presence in Germany. Ready to become the face and voice of Brenger in Germany? In this role you will be part of the expansion team and responsible for scaling our business in Germany. You will explore the market and perform a diversity of tasks to expand Brenger’s presence through sales, partnerships and courier supply management. Together with Roeland (International Expansion Manager) you will have a key role to our growth agenda within Germany. You will also be working closely with Derk (CEO) and the Operations team in order to get German customers up and running.
Key tasks & responsibilities
New business development (50%)
Validate local expansion opportunities via market research, own network and knowledge of the retail and transportation industry
Responsible for generating customer leads trough sales activities
Responsible for developing local marketplace & retail partnerships
Account management (20%)
Follow up on leads and prepare proposals
Onboarding of new customers
Courier supply management (20%)
Attracting couriers to the platform through sales
Operations support (10%)
Supporting business customers with the help of our business operations support team
At least 5 years proven experience in a similar role within a fast-paced environment
Native German speaker, fluent in English. Some Dutch is nice :)
Preferably having worked in or with marketplaces
Commercially strong and a strong networker
Able to work independently with an entrepreneurial mindset
Your strategic thinking and coordination is as sharp as your executional power
Willingness to travel in Germany and the Netherlands. In the first few months we expect you to be in our Amsterdam office 2 to 3 days a week.
Good to know
In terms of location, we are flexible. In the first few months you'll probably be in our Amsterdam office regularly, after which you will most of the time located in Germany. Location is still to be determined as you're the first hire in Germany. There is German support at our Amsterdam office.
