Your role

In this role it’s your mission to make Brenger a more data-driven company. As our Data Scientist you are the key between data and the business and its stakeholders. You will be joining a strong and diverse development team and will team up with Mathijs, our other Data Scientist. Together you will search into the data for optimizations in pricing for consumers, and improve the reward for couriers by analyzing the claim behaviors and many other exciting data puzzles. To be concrete here are some of your main tasks:

  • Making data insightful to internal stakeholders by using SQL queries and creating dashboards

  • Improvements based on data, by analyzing day-to-day margins

  • Reporting and documentation of changes

  • Research product types for better price differentiation.

  • Monitoring data, predict and identify errors in pricing or courier rewards.

  • Think along about new data optimizations and refine processes.

As we are a small team, this role enables you to work with all different teams within Brenger. Working at Brenger means you will thrive for success together. We are open to your ideas and we appreciate initiatives. We don’t expect you to know everything from the start but you should be eager to learn and to grow within a young and ambitious team. To succeed in this role you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. For this it’s necessary to have a keen interest in our business in order to prioritize data insight and projects.

Your experience & skills

  • Master’s degree in Econometrics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Business Analytics or Supply Chain and Logistics
